The Carman & Community Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization, which seeks volunteers on a regular basis to assist with Chamber activities.
Do you have a vested interest in your community? Would you like to become involved to help us strengthen and enhance our community? Do you have some ideas to contribute?
If so, you can volunteer for the following:
Become a ‘Community Event’ Committee Member
As a Committee Member, you would work with the Executive Director and other Committee Members to assist with the planning and implementing of our four community events; Carman Potato & Blossom Festival, Carman Fair Parade, Moonlight Madness, and Winter Palooza. This is a great opportunity to be a part of your community and help us achieve our goals.
Serve as a ‘Director’ on our Chamber’s Executive Board
If you are interested in joining an energetic and dynamic Executive Board, contact us. As a Director, your two-year duration would involve:
1) Work with other Board member’s to assist and oversee our Chamber’s governance and mandate,
2) Volunteer to serve on a Board position: President, Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer,
3) Work with other Board member’s to develop and implement Chamber’s activities, and
4) Assist with other Board activities as needed.
Each year, at our Annual General Meeting, other nominations are called and official voting commences to replace vacant positions.
Whichever way you choose to serve as a volunteer, we would be pleased and welcome you aboard!
